Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how Skyble Lab and the Remodel:AI team (collectively, "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use the Remodel AI mobile application (iOS and Android) and the website at remodelai.io (collectively, "the App" or "the Service"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information. When you create an account, sign in, or use certain features, we may collect personal information including your name, email address, password (hashed), profile photo (optional), and other contact information you provide. If you sign in via Apple, Google, or another identity provider, we receive the basic profile information that provider returns.

b. Uploaded Photos. The App requests access to your device's photo library or camera for the purpose of generating remodels. Photos are not collected or stored without your explicit permission. Uploaded photos are processed by our AI systems and retained only as long as needed to provide the Service (see Section 3, Data Retention). We do not use your photos to train third-party AI models.

c. Payment Information. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple, Google Play, or Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. We receive only confirmation of payment, the subscription tier, and the transaction ID needed to manage your subscription.

d. Device and Usage Data. We automatically collect non-personal technical information, including device type, operating system version, App version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Identifier for Advertisers if permitted), IP address, language, screen resolution, App usage patterns (which screens you view, which features you use), crash logs, and performance metrics. This information helps us diagnose problems, improve the App, and understand usage trends.

e. Cookies and Similar Technologies. On the website, we use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics (Google Analytics 4 / Vercel Analytics), and conversion measurement. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be disabled.

f. Communications. If you contact us via email or in-App support, we will retain the content of your communication and your contact information to respond and improve our support.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service. Operate the App, authenticate you, process your photos and prompts to generate AI outputs, manage subscriptions, and respond to support requests.
• Improve the App. Understand how users interact with the App, develop new features, debug issues, monitor performance, and improve quality.
• Communicate. Send transactional emails (account notifications, receipts, security alerts) and, where permitted, marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing hello@skyblelab.ai.
• Safety and security. Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Use.
• Legal compliance. Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
• Aggregated analytics. Create aggregated or de-identified data sets that do not identify you personally, for research, analytics, and Service improvement.

Legal bases (for users in the EU/EEA/UK). We process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you requested), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

3. Data Retention

• Input photos and prompts that you submit are deleted from our processing systems within 24 hours of submission.
• AI-generated outputs are deleted from our systems within 30 days of generation. You may download outputs to your own device at any time.
• Account information (name, email, subscription status) is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after for tax, audit, and legal compliance.
• Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

a. Service providers. We engage trusted third parties to assist us in operating the App, including: cloud hosting (Vercel, Google Cloud, Firebase), AI inference (Runware and other compute providers), payment processing (Apple, Google, Stripe), analytics (Google Analytics 4, Vercel Analytics), and email delivery. These providers may process personal information only to perform the services we engage them for and are contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations.

b. Legal compliance. We may disclose personal information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Skyble Lab, our users, or others. We will push back on overbroad requests where appropriate.

c. Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, personal information may be transferred to the acquiring or succeeding entity. We will notify you (e.g., by email or in-App notice) before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, secure authentication, regular security reviews, and least-privilege access for our team. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

6. International Data Transfers

We operate primarily in the United States, and our service providers may be located in the U.S. or other countries. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other countries that may have data protection laws different from those of your jurisdiction. Where required by law (e.g., for transfers from the EU/EEA/UK to the U.S.), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@skyblelab.ai. Users aged 13-17 may only use the App with parental consent.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The App and website may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Apple, Google, Stripe). This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing information to them.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Universal rights. You may at any time:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Delete your account and associated personal information;
• Download a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
• Opt out of marketing communications.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including the rights to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell; (b) access and request a copy of your personal information; (c) request deletion; (d) correct inaccurate information; (e) opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); (f) limit the use of sensitive personal information; and (g) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, email hello@skyblelab.ai. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR / UK GDPR). If you are located in the EU/EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation to: (a) access; (b) rectification; (c) erasure ("right to be forgotten"); (d) restriction of processing; (e) data portability; (f) objection to processing based on legitimate interests; and (g) withdrawal of consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. Because no industry standard has been adopted for how websites should respond to such signals, we currently do not change behavior in response. We will update this section if and when a standard is adopted.

11. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be posted in the App and on the website with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (such as an in-App notification or email) at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
